The Amazon Regional Observatory fosters the flow of information between institutions and intergovernmental authorities of the Member Countries, linked to the study of the Amazon, becoming a reference center for regional scientific-technological information and socio-cultural diversity of the Amazon.

Illegal Trafficking

This section presents information on one of the CITES Operations related to Illegal Trafficking of CITES Species from the eight ACTO Member Countries.

The information contained in this section has been generated through collaboration between CITES Species Specialists and Experts of Project Bioamazonia, international organizations and official institutions of the eight ACTO Member Countries.

The information contained in this section includes the following:

  • Database of Species seized for environmental violations.
  • Illegal Trafficking Database (confiscation incidents, poaching, among other infractions) of CITES Amazonian Species.
